The municipality of Lech is renovating the 50-year-old swimming pool and has commissioned JÄGER with the demolition and construction work in the course of the second refurbishment phase.
The existing reinforced concrete basin is being removed and replaced by two stainless steel basins:
- a 25-metre sports pool with two diving boards (1 metre and 3 metres),
- an aquafit pool with various water attractions.
In addition, the women's and men's changing rooms are being refurbished and extended along with the showers.
In order to comply with the very strict regulations of the Austrian Bathing Hygiene Ordinance, the entire water treatment plant is being renovated; for this purpose, the existing engineering rooms are being supplemented by the addition of a new building.
Construction began in August 2019 and will be completed in time for the start of the 2020 summer season.
