The power plant started operating almost 100 years ago to generate traction current. It will be brought up to the state of the art in the coming years so that efficient use and production of traction current can also be guaranteed in the future.
The exposed, high alpine location, meter-high fresh snow and temperatures below freezing make this construction site a special challenge not only in winter.
